简英文读后感篇1

when i first opened jack, holiday reading impression (three) "the call of the wild". londons magnum opus, "the call of the wild," touched me deeply with that bleak and philosophical poem: "the chains of custom do not bind the ancient longing of the nomadic to leap; the cold wind blows and slumbers, and the wild will awaken the mournful verse."

perhaps like the author jack. there is in all things, as london said, an ancient instinct -- savagery, which brings savagery, and the desire to conquer. buck, the hero of "call of the wild", was shocked when he set foot on the land of alaska: in this unforgiving world, giving friendship is equal to giving life, and to survive only forward, forward, forward, there is no retreat possible. all the cruelties are awakening its ancient savagery, all the facts are telling it that there are only the conqueror and the conquered in this society. the unyielding and fighting spirit that comes from deep in nature is awakened, because it knows that all this embodies the value of life. yes, the call of the wild in civilized society has never stopped? the fierce competition caused people can not have the slightest hesitation, victory and defeat in that moment of time, only brave to meet the opponent, and finally conquer... perhaps this is life and the meaning of life.

however, with savagery comes the ancient friendship -- the friendship of innocence and loyalty, which is the crystallization of civilization and antiquity. when bucks master died, he looked up at the sky and gave a long cry. the snarl was sad, the snarl was loyal, the snarl was thrilling, and the snarl contained the depth of bucks love for his master, a love that was wild friendship.

life is contradictory, the world is complicated, it has treachery, there is loyalty; it has civilisation and savagery. however, this is the real life, life is therefore colorful, and therefore brilliant, and therefore endless...

after reading the "call of the wild", cover volume and rest, unconsciously is already feel tears.

简英文读后感篇2

scarlett , a very personality figures ,the two mans she love ,neither does she know her, i was compelled to admire, admire her strong and brave, admire her to lay down in the environment, farm workers previously suffered education, admire her to disregard the community to create their own expression of the cause 。she is in the whole story, all a person full of fighting will full of vitality 。 i appreciated most , it is this " tomorrow is another day of hers. " 。 promising forever, full of fighting will , will never give up, never desperate. i think im moved her.so, whenever i meet difficulty, the mood is not good, i will tell oneself : " tomorrow is another day. " gone with the wind is absolutely a good book that is worth sampling repeatedly, the characters are graceful , the plot rises and falls, exciting boldly and unconstrainedly, though the subjective factor because of the author among them , the appraisal on u.s.a.s civil war is not objective and overall, but as to angle of literature, this one fine piece of writing generation definitely absolutely, worth visiting.

简英文读后感篇3

i think this book is fabulous!i thought this because it was full of adventure, death, excitement, and a little humor.i also thought the author had a strange but interesting desire to kill off his characters!i havent read the whole book yet,but i have a dire need to find out what happens in the end. after i have read the whole book, it really did frustrate me because i didnt understand the hard old languages that were written in the book. i hated the ending of the story because you never really recieve some sort of a good feeling. i did learn that the main character , jim becomes a loyal and responsible character though. overall i didnt quite enjoy reading the "boring brick" but however i did fancy the plot. now i have to write a chracter essay for jim. but i dont know how i am going to get all the information on to one sheet of pa-pe-r.personally i dont reccomend people to read this book if they are suppose to write an essay on it, but i do reccomend people to read this book if they are stranded on an island with nothing to do.

简英文读后感篇4

after a term’s reading, i finished ten more books, however, what impressed me most is jane austen and her two classical books.

in china maybe we all know liqingzhao, a great female poet whose poetry are full of the emotions from the bottom of her heart. however, in england the figure maybe is my most admirable authoress miss austen who can never have too many respects from the common people just like me. after read her two masterpieces of books pride and prejudice and sense and sensibility, i feel so proud of being female to see a world-famous authoress using her independent thoughts, humor words to show us the relationship between the so-called superiors and the lower-class.

at that time, neither in the east nor in the west, it is not so easy for a woman to become a great figure with literary reputation. in china li made it, while in england miss austen with her unique characteristic also realized her dream after a long struggle with the temporal points. it seems that all in jane’s life, she made a decision between sense and sensibility; once there was an old saying “affection is desirable, money is absolutely indispensable.” she resolutely chose her true love but not a splendid life or a comfortable home, what a pity she can not marry the one she did not really love even a beloved one, in her short life, she finished six famous books with her heart and soul but never married and stayed single for ever.

when reading pride and prejudice, i wondered why the oldest sister in the bennet family also was named jane, is there any possibility jane bennet is the soul of miss austen; and miss austen expected to realize all the pity which can not come true in her real life, so jane bennet was pictured as prefect as possible to be the best of the five sisters.

it’s a classical book with abundant description of everyone’s inner heart, especially the changes in their hearts. it can never deserve too many analyses for it was so wonderfully worked. one can say anything but ordinary to show our respects and admiration.

the man said“i do not have that talent of conversing easily with people i have never met before.” the woman said“we all don’t know him.” the book is full of the man’s pride and the woman’s prejudice in its lines and words.

from his pride we can see his confidence and persistence; whereas from his pride we can’t see his kindness and gentleness which he hid behind the surface.

from her prejudice we can see her firmness and treason; whereas from her prejudice we can’t see her expectation and worries which she hid behind the surface.

so it gave us a beginning of the story of pride and prejudice and led us to miss austen’s emotion world. so wonderful a book, so classical a story, so prefect a happy ending made it never a problem whether his pride or her prejudice counted, because of love, all can be neglected.

in the book once the proud mr dracy talked about the traits an accomplished woman must have, it needed a thorough knowledge of music, singing, dancing, drawing and modern languages, and besides this, a certain something in her manner of walking, in her voice and her behaviour. what’s more, something more solid, the improvement of her mind by wide reading. it could never be too strict for a common woman to follow.

about the attitudes to the marriage, charles dickens in the oliver twist also showed us the opinions of that day, he said if a man has ambitions to enter politics, then he marries a woman with a stain on her name, over though it’s not her fault, it might spoil his chances of success in his life. ()the society is cruel, people might use the knowledge of his wife’s doubtful birth against him, and against his children, too. and one day, he might begin to regret his marriage.

but love is so great that nothing can conquer it, and in the pride and prejudice we see the type of classical love, if we say in the realization we are so sorry to see the over more interest lead us to forget what love is, what a pity when love is not so pure as it should be, what a pity when love is used as a medium of exchange.

to my happiness the books inflected miss austen’s marriage view, it is wrong to get married for property, money and states. she objects to getting married for money and regarding the marriage as a trifling matter. she also points that the man and the woman’s emotion is the foundation of an ideal marriage.

after reading it, i feel that i just want to turn elizabeth who is ordinary but with special beauty, brave but with a little stubborn, though she is not a prefect woman our eyes, she does be a woman with prefect disadvantages. to the hero mr dracy, i feel that i just want to marry a gentleman like mr dracy who always puts his love deep in his heart, till the day he made sure that elizabeth was the one he wanted to spend the rest time of the live. under the handsome and gentle; proud and serious face, there was a kind heart full of love.

pride is just like a piece of beautiful clothes which is luxurious and untouchable. however, the expense of pride is loneliness. prejudice is just like the clouds floating in the sky with its freedom. however, the expense of prejudice is lost.

what i learnt from the books and jane austen is deeply printed in my mind and i should never forget elizabeth and mr dracy’s prefect love story, they usefully influenced each other. his mind might have been softened and his manners improved by her sociability, and she might have learnt from his greater judgment and knowledge of the world. just like a fairy tale, the price and princess have a happy live together, which i am looking forward.

简英文读后感篇5

" he sings a song of the younger world, which is the song of the pack." (chapter vii the sounding of the wild) when the last sentence vanished from my eyes, i can still perceive an echo of a song - a wild song, which knocks up my dizzy mind that always cheerfully sink into the so-called civilized world without questioning. wild, is no longer a symbol of the law of jungle but a headspring where streams out love, passion, bravery, loyalty, friendship, venture, competition and tolerance all these virtues can easily be found in the call of the wild.

jack london (1876-1916) is a worldwide renowned novelist. his stories successfully reflect the contradictory views of man’s nature and destiny in and against the wild, and his "fight to survive" notion has gained him and his works timeless popularity, particularly, the call of the wild.

it tells a story of a gigantic dog, named buck, who is stolen from a rich and comfortable home and forced to learn to survive as an alaskan sled dog. buck, at first, is too savage for the company of man until he coincidently encounters his beloved master-kindhearted john thornton. finally, john’s incidental death breaks buck’s last tie to the man and drives him into his long-desired wild with his pack. in the story, buck and john simply adopt themselves to answer the call of the wild. when it comes to buck’s mind that one day he will eventually leave john- his master, all he wants to do is just to help him finish the gold-rush-trip. he " from then on, night and day, never put a halt, in desperation, he burst into long stretch of flight, did not to stay him (john)…" (chapter vii the sounding of the wild) buck wished to remember john’s image forever, he "for two days and nights never left camp, never let thornton out of his sight. he followed him about at his work, watched him while saw him into blankets at night and out of them in the morning…" (chapter vii) when i read these words i just could not hold my tears bursting. can a real man devote himself to loyalty and friendship in such a way? on the other hand, john thornton is not only a dog-lover but also a brave and venturous man. he is so straightforward and simple that makes him an accommodating man. once he firmly roots a goal into his heart, it seems that nothing could prevent him from accomplishing it except death. i do not know whether the persistence is the most vital element to make a man successful, but what i know is that you are not far away from success once you occupy it.

it is jack london who plunges me into the animated wild from the hustle-and-bustle and from desperate city. there, i merely cannot deny the attraction of buck’s bark, which enlightens me to pursue another lost half of the nature in mankind, and to dig out a true meaning of life. dare we imagine that london intentionally employs buck to set us a model with perfect characters (count barbarity out)? the answer is affirmed. we, as animals, are from the wild but shedding off more and more wild signs, which demonstrate us as the "uncivilized". however, who can fully guarantee that we have not overlooked some essential wild-endowed virtues? especially, nowadays, it seems more crucial for us to stop looking at the post-industrialized world and to ponder for a while. when cheats, betrayals, lies, lusts and crimes stuff a materialized society, whether london uses this novel to help himself escape the reality or warn the earthy people, to us, modern man, is all the same.it appears horrible that in modern society many people are enthusiastically talking about how to build up "special relations" to the authority, deceiving and lying to each other.

to them life is a mask-wearing process rather than a hard work. every time, you browse webpages, scandals in politics, business, the entertainment circle and even on campus crowd into your eyes. oh, what is the essence of human beings? what is the civilization to us? do we need to look back at where we came from? is it good or bad for us to speak out what we think and to do what the consciences demand us to? are we wasting talents given by the mighty nature? be an honest, straightforward, warmhearted, emotional and responsible man or be a shrewd, cold hearted and astute hypocrite? while embracing the "civilized" rubbish, we are losing those good virtues, which are the calls of the wild. once we lose them, we are to lose ourselves, and we will get nowhere. i wish this dreadful thought is totally a fallacy, but, now, it is chilling me hard.

one day when i happen to stand on the top of a grand mountain to observe a boundless prairie enveloped by the sapphire firmament and combed by gusts of the rhythmical west wind, a morning sun sprinkles me her warmth and brilliance in a graceful way, however, at that moment, i am afraid that i cannot appreciate these beauties, i am a lost " civilized man" then.

简英文读后感篇6

pride and prejudice is my favorite novel, which impresses me for a long time. it describes a love story mainly between elisabeth, who i like the best, and a rich and proud man, darcy.

the story began with the arrival of a crowd of rich men who rent a house near the bennet. in a ball, elisabeth gave such a bad impression on darcy’s first pride that she refused darcy’s first proposal. darcy was so surprised by elisabeth’s refusal that he loved elisabeth more deeply. and elisabeth’s antipathy made darcy realize his shortings. he was not angry about elisabeth’s censure, but also he changed his previous proud attitude.

during elisabeth’s travel in darcy’s manor. darcy was very nice to her uncle and aunt, different from previous proud attitude. when one of elisabeth’s sisters ran away with wickham, darcy helped elisabeth find her sister and prevent her sister from the loss of reputation, with nobody knowing that it was he who helped the bennet. so many changes in darcy eliminated elisabeth’s prejudice. at last it end with their marriage.

taking the daily life as its material, this story reflected the life and love in a conservative你 and blocking england town. it reflected the author’s view about marriage that it is fault to marry for property, money and status and it is also foolish to take these elements into account. in fact darcy’s pride manifested the gap between their statuses.

since his pride existed, there is no ideal marriage between elisabeth and darcy. from the different attitudes from darcy’s two proposals, it reflected the feminine pursuit of personality independence and right equality, which is a progressive character from the image of elisabeth.
